Q4 revenue climbs 22% at EFI

For the quarter ended December 31, 2015, revenues at Electronics For Imaging, Inc (EFI), a marketer of customer-focused digital printing innovations climbed 22 per cent year over year.
In a press release, the company reported record revenue of $256.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, up 22 per cent compared to fourth quarter 2014 revenue of $211.1 million.
Non-GAAP net income was $29.4 million or $0.61 per diluted share, which was reduced by 3 cents due to balance sheet currency translation impact.
In the fourth quarter of 2014, EFI had recorded non-GAAP net income of $25.1 million or $0.52 per diluted share, which too was reduced by 2 cents due to balance sheet currency translation impact.
GAAP net income for the quarter under review was $10.3 million or $0.21 per diluted share, compared to $11.9 million or $0.25 per diluted share in the year ago quarter.
For the year ended December 31, 2015, EFI's revenue totaled $882.5 million, up 12 per cent as against 790.4 million in 2014.
Non-GAAP net income in 2015 amounted to $97.9 million or $2.03 per diluted share compared to non-GAAP net income of $87.1 million or $1.80 per diluted share last year.
While, GAAP net income was $33.5 million or $0.70 per diluted share as against $33.7 million or $0.70 per diluted share in the prior year.
"Our team capped another strong year for EFI by delivering an outstanding quarter despite the continued macro headwinds we have had to overcome all year," said Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI.
"As we begin 2016, we remain deeply committed to developing innovative technology to make our customers more competitive and productive," Gecht added.
EFI develops technologies for the manufacturing of signage, packaging, textiles, ceramic tiles, and personalised documents, with a wide range of printers, inks and digital front ends.
These also include a comprehensive business and production workflow suite that transforms and streamlines the entire production process. (AR)
