Rieter reports order intake growth of 13% in 2016

Short fibre spinning technologies producer Rieter Group reported an order intake growth of 13 per cent year on year at CHF 905.2 million in 2016. The expansion in order intake was heavily influenced by the Machines & Systems business group. However, as expected, sales in 2016 were down 9 per cent over the previous year at CHF 945.0 million.
In its preliminary results, the Switzerland headquartered company added that the Components and After Sales business group also witnessed an increase in sales compared to the previous year.
Rieter expects EBIT margin of 6 per cent in the reporting year and 2016 net profit to be at 4.5 per cent of sales. (AR)
