To add colour to ongoing handicrafts expo at Urban Hatt Jammu, the Information Department the Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Sales and Exports Corporation (JKHSEC) mutually organized a cultural programme.
The objective of this expo was to provide craftsmen of J&K with a platform to promote their products.
Craftsmen from J&K, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi have set up more than 60 stalls of different handicraft products in the expo.
Elaborating the activities of corporation, Haji Abdul Rashid, Chairman Handicrafts Corporation said that corporation has decided to achieve a sale target of Rs 12.06 crores during current fiscal while Rs 8.84 crores were earned during the last year.
Haji added that the Sales and Export Corporation in association with Union Textiles Ministry, is also organizing craft bazaars in Chennai, Luckhnow, Shimla and Udhapur and Expos at Delhi, Kolkatta and Mumabi and International Fairs at Birmingham, UK, Calforina, USA, Domtex, Germany, Lahore, Pakistan, UAE and South Africa to enhance sales of handicrafts of J&K.
