Clothes & fashion goods sales thru cyber shopping up

Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO) released cyber shopping mall survey of October 2005.
According to the results of the October Cyber Shopping Mall Survey, the number of establishments mainly dealing in retail e-commerce transactions between business and consumer (B2C) recorded 4,229 in October, up 1.7 percent from September.
The number of establishments in October increased 22.2 percent year-on-year.
The total sales of goods and services in cyber shopping malls in October decreased to 942.5 billion won, marking a 0.4 percent decrease over the previous month.
The total sales of goods and services in cyber shopping malls in October jumped by 39.9 percent year-on-year.
As for the composition of the total value in cyber shopping malls by group of commodities in October, Clothes/fashions and related goods stood at 17.2 percent, Followed by Home electric appliances/electronics/telecommunication equipment (16.7 percent), Travel arrangement and reservation services (13.2 percent), Household goods/motor vehicle parts and accessories (10.5 percent), and Computer and computer-related appliances (9.4 percent).
Cyber shopping of clothing and fashions related products increased over last year, October 2004.
The total sales of the general malls in October reached 678.6 billion won, which occupied 72.0 percent out of the total sales.
The total sales of the general malls in October grew by 183.7 billion won or 37.1 percent year-on-year. The total sales of the specialized malls skyrocketed by 85 billion won or 47.5 percent year-on-year.
