CMC's LA Fashion Market sees steady crowds of retailers

Retailers from across the United States gathered in Los Angeles eager to get a jump start on stocking their shelves for the holiday season with products discovered at the California Market Center's Spring L.A. Gift & Home Market, March 16-19, 2014.

Held concurrently with the prestigious L.A. Fashion Market, the L.A. Gift & Home Market saw steady crowds of retailers who shopped the entire California Market Center for the latest holiday and seasonal products, best-selling gift and home lines, and the country's most extensive collection of fashion accessories, apparel and contemporary children's resources.

"We were delighted to welcome buyers from as far away as Michigan and Texas, as well as neighboring states like Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Utah," comments Gerry Seibel, Vice President of CMC Gift & Home. "Retailers were able to take advantage of Christmas dating programs to secure their holiday merchandise early in the season, and were also able to shop vital non-seasonal gift, home, and fashion products in a relaxed, sunny environment."

Retailers continued to comment on the opportunities presented by the Gift, Home, and Fashion Markets running concurrently. Longtime retailer Mary Liz Curtin, owner of the award-winning home furnishings store Leon & Lulu (Clawson, MI) enthused: "I wouldn't miss this show.

Since we added fashion accessories and apparel, as well as gift items to our merchandise mix, we have developed a hugely profitable and well-received new department at our store. The L.A. Gift & Home Market and the L.A. Fashion Market have become essential to the success of these categories at Leon & Lulu-the Markets are so convenient and easy to shop, and we always find 'treasures' which our customers love."

For retailers interested in products from the ultra-popular fashion and children's market, CMC resources include the L.A. Kid's Market, showcasing over 800 quality baby, kid's and maternity products such as accessories, toys, gifts, and lifestyle novelties on floor 6A. Best-selling fashion accessories - such as jewelry, handbags, scarves and hats, and gifts -- are also shown in abundance on floors 10A, 12C and 13C.

The next L.A. Gift & Home Market is scheduled to take place July 15-21, 2014, running concurrently with the L.A. Mart's GALLA Show, and the California Gift Show for the convenience of the retailer audience.
