Prices of clothes can lead to a terrible remedy - FADIT

FEDERACIÓN ARGENTINA DE INDUSTRIAS TEXTILES (FADIT) reported that again, like a year back, infundadas opinions and erroneous and devoid affirmations of sustenance try to adjudge to our sector a behavior predatorio, making us responsible for increases of prices to the consumer.
We will not excuse ourselves to this end in the increases of produced costs, because it is not necessary. During last the 12 months the prices of originating products of the textile industry registered an increase of 7.6%, clearly below the wholesale general level (8.6%), or of the average of the other industrial goods (9.7%).
This behavior is not conjunctural. On the contrary, it has been a constant for many years. In individual if we analyzed the variations, taking as year 2000 bases 100, we will verify that the textile prices grew a 7% less than the general level, and the articles of textile matters a 30% less, putting in evidence the caution and responsibility of the domestic producers even in a period - as post were the one of the first years devaluation - marked by the growth of the price of the raw materials and the disappearance of the competition of concerned goods.
Of the previous thing it could be deduced that we did not consider part of the discussion of prices of the indumentaria to the consumer. It is not thus. We followed with preoccupation the evolution of the retail indices, that in the last register movements year by above of the general level, demonstrated an increase of products in the commercial stages.
