N K K P Raja launches 'Potramarai' saris for Co-optex

In a function organized at Co-optex' Egmore showroom, Tamil Nadu's Minister for Textile and Handloom N K K P Raja informed that local Government will give 1.64 crore saris and dhotis worth Rs256 crore free of cost for Pongal.
Raja introduced collection of 'Potramarai' saris in 120 designs having price range of Rs2,000-18,000 and readymade cotton shirts in range of Rs200-215 for Pongal and Christmas.
Senior citizens have been encouraged to submit their wedding silk saris or ancestral collections at Co-optex showrooms within December 31, 2006.
Designs selected by an expert committee will be rewarded with gift coupons worth Rs2,000. Best designs will be declared prior to Pongal.
Total turnover of the company for 2006 reached Rs2.11 crores with considerable upswing of 15-20 percent in growth during last six months.
