The Australian Cotton Shippers Association AGM was held at Warren (NSW) on November 10.
Office bearers elected for 2006/2007 were:
Chairman Mr Tony Geitz of Paul Reinhart (Australia) – ph 07 4634 1311; Senior Vice Chairman Mr Don Campbell of Dunavant Enterprises – ph 07 3253 5999 and Mr Peter Johnson of Weil Brothers-Cotton (Aust) – ph 07 4631 0600.
Tony Geitz has been a Director of the Australian Cotton Shippers Association since 2002 and an Executive Officer of the Association since 2004. He represents the Association on the external Trade & Marketing Committee for CCC CRC and a number of internal Association committees. His cotton career began working initially with Paul Reinhart Inc, in Dallas, Texas, returning to Australia in March 2002 to take up the position of Managing Director of Paul Reinhart (Australia).
Prior to joining the cotton industry, he has been associated with the Australian cotton industry since 1996 by way of the banking industry, specifically agribusiness/regional banking.
New Directors appointed were:
D Brophy as representative of Ecom Commodities and D Wright as representative of Twynam Agricultural Group.
Other Directors of the Association re-elected were:
R Bell (Namoi Cotton); D Campbell (Dunavant Enterprises); G Cherry (Dunavant Enterprises); R Dall'Alba (Queensland Cotton); G Gallacher (Auscott Limited); A Geitz (Paul Reinhart (Aust)); P Johnson (Weil Bros-Cotton [Aust]); D Lindsay (Namoi Cotton); H Lobb (Weil Bros-Cotton (Aust)); K Morison (Macquarie Cotton); P Sloan (Cargill Cotton); A Spellson (Auscott Limited); P Strang (Volcot Australia); D Walters (Plexus Cotton).
