Thomas Fahnemann new President of CIRFS

Mr Thomas Fahnemann, Chairman of the Board of Lenzing AG, has May 31 2007, been elected as President of CIRFS, the association representing the European man-made fibres industry.

Mr Fahnemann succeeds Mr Omer Sabanci, who has served as President of CIRFS since 2004.

Following his appointment, Mr Fahnemann stated:
"I am delighted to have been chosen for the important task of heading CIRFS for the next three years. It plays an important part in the life of the European man-made fibres industry, by the services it provides and by its representational activities on the industry's behalf. It has been one of the most successful and efficient industrial associations in Europe."
