Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade goes up, Jan-July

The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for July 2007 increased by 7.3 units or 4.5% to 170.7 units compared to 163.4 in June 2007.
For the period January-July 2007 the Index recorded an increase of 10.6 % compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
According to provisional estimates the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for August 2007 decreased by 7.9 units or 4.6% to 162.8 units compared to 170.7 in July 2007.
For the period January-August 2007 the Index is provisionally estimated to have an increase of 10.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
