In October 2007, the consumer price index for all households in the whole of France rose by 0.2% (+0.1% in September 2007, -0.2% in October 2006). The year-on-year price increase was +2.0% (+1.5% in September 2007).
The increase of consumer price index resulted from different rising movements: the raising of prices of clothing and footwear added in October. Prices of other manufactures, transport and communications and other services were stable.
The price index adjusted for seasonal variations rose by 0.3%. The underlying inflation indicator posted a +0.3% growth (+1.6% year-on-year). The HICP increased by 0.3% (+2.1% year-on-year).
