Mohammad Nahavandian, head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) signed a trade deal with his Nigerian counterpart Ijegua Adaji for expanding economic relations in private sector.
The announcement for the sanctioning of the deal was made on December 7 and largely covered, among others, the area of handicraft and would.
Both the countries emphasized on expanding mutual trade and reiterating his desire Mr Nahavandian said “To this end, the ICCIM is trying to establish trade centers in the African nations especially in Nigeria which will facilitate bilateral trade”.
Meanwhile, Mr Adaji showed disappointment over not realizing the economic potential of both the countries and expressed the desire to have more negotiations for boosting inter state trade transactions.
In addition, Mr Adaji also concluded that not only was Nigeria a linking bridge between Iran and African countries but also the largest market and an important one, in west side of the continent.
