LATIA Mission urges joint efforts to expand trade

The Honorary Consul of Republic of Lithuania in Malaysia, Datuk Hong Lee Pee remarked that the entrepreneurs of Lithuania and Malaysia should leverage on their strategic locations to jointly explore the enormous business and investment opportunities between Europe and Asia.
He said that he will try his best to provide whatever assistance to facilitate the joint venture or collaborative business initiatives between the Lithuanian and Malaysian companies.
Hong Lee Pee, who is also the Treasurer of Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (ACCCIM), delivered his speech yesterday in the Business Matching Meeting with Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA).
Those who were present in the Business Matching Meeting included: the Secretary-General of ACCCIM, Tan Sri Dato's Soong Siew Hoong; the Leader of LATIA Trade Mission, Mrs Raminta Krulikauskiene; the President of Federation of Textiles General Goods & Garment Merchants Association Malaysia (FTGAM), Mr Yew Chin Liong; the President of Malaysia Garment Wholesale Merchants Association, Dato' Ang Say Tee and other representatives of knitting manufacturers, textile manufacturers, apparel manufacturers & tailors guilds.
Hong Lee Pee remarked that the Republic of Lithuania is strategically situated at the center of the eastern, western and northern Europe. This strategic location has made Lithuania as a window to the market of 700 million consumers from the surrounding European Countries.
