Net trade surplus amounted to SEK 10.7 bn

Foreign trade resulted in a net trade surplus of SEK 10.7 billion in November 2007 according to preliminary calculations from Statistics Sweden. The surplus for November 2006 was SEK 12.3 billion.

The value of exports in November 2007 amounted to SEK 105.8 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 95.1 billion, both high values. Compared to November 2006, exports increased by 6 percent in value, while imports have increased by 9 percent. The number of weekdays in November 2007 was the same as in November 2006.

Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 14.4 billion, while EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 3.7 billion.

Seasonally adjusted, the net trade surplus amounted to SEK 10.7 billion in November 2007, compared to SEK 10.5 billion in October 2007. The corresponding figure for September 2007 was SEK 10.0 billion.

The net trade balance for January – November 2007 resulted in a surplus of SEK 114.4 billion
During this period, the value of exports have increased in value by 5 percent, while imports have increased by 9 percent in value compared to the corresponding period one year ago.

Exports amounted to SEK 1051.8 billion, and imports were valued at SEK 937.4 billion, resulting in a net trade surplus of SEK 114.4 billion for January – November 2007. The corresponding surplus figure for these months in 2006 was SEK 137.1 billion.
