The leading organization for supply management professionals, Institute for Supply Management(ISM), announces its 2008 Board of Directors. The leadership-based board is made up of business leaders who hold senior-level positions throughout the world. The 2008 ISM Board of Directors is:
Chair, Lisa Martin, C.P.M., is senior vice president, worldwide procurement for Pfizer Inc. Her organization has responsibility for leveraging the company's cross-divisional spend of approximately $17 billion to achieve cost savings and productivity.
S. Tyrone (Ty) Alexander is executive vice president, human resources and administrative services for Highmark Inc. In this position, he provides executive leadership and strategic direction in development and implementation of policies and programs related to human resources, including staffing, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and training and development for more than 11,000 employees.
In addition, he is responsible for leadership of administrative services, including the lease, purchase and maintenance of facilities, as well as corporate procurement, fleet management, food services, corporate travel, risk management and office administrative support operations for all Highmark locations.
John D. Blascovich, C.P.M., is a vice president for A.T. Kearney Inc, an independent, privately owned management consulting business. Blascovich coordinates A.T. Kearney's global procurement competency center. During his time at A.T. Kearney, Blascovich has led strategic sourcing projects that have delivered cost savings for clients that range from $100 million to more than $1 billion.
