1-Day BSI British Standards Forum to be held in June

CSD & DA Chief Executive, Frank Peters FCSD FRSA MIoD, will chair a free 1-Day BSI British Standards Forum entitled Standards for Sustainable Design on 20 June 2008, to be held at the Design Council.
The event will offer insight on how to manage sustainable design more effectively, and delegates will be able to have their say in shaping the direction the UK should take in regard to future standardization in sustainable design.
Mr Peters said "it is now well accepted that we need to take action in order to protect the environment in which we live and whilst the professions and various industry sectors .
The Stern Review, published in October 2006 by Sir Nicholas Stern offered the design profession challenges and opportunities.
CSD and DA have been promoting sustainability and energy conservation as part of the Design Association Accreditation Programme and as a module in the DA Diploma in Design Business Management.
The BSI event will be followed by a complimentary drinks reception.
