ABIT to support 'Compomovel' show of decorative fabrics

Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) commented on the Compomovel 2005. The fair will be start on November 9, 2005.

The 5th edition of the Compomovel - Components, Accessories and Machines for Upholstery, Mattresses and Curtains Fair, held November 9 – 11 at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, once again makes room for decorative fabrics.

The fair intends to gather nearly 3 thousand skilled professionals, including decorators, architects, designers, storeowners, upholstery and curtain manufacturers, as well as importers and exporters.

Compomovel 2005 will have the support of the ABIT – Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association to carry out the TexBrasil Décor project – a space that during the three days of the fair will exhibit the fabric trends of those exhibiters participating in this edition.

Among the fabric trends for furniture and decoration that will be shown at the Compomovel 2005, the highlight goes to the journey to the past proposed by the revisiting of Brazilian Baroque and Tropicalism, or the Romantic Woman.

From the Baroque we get fabrics with sinuous shapes and details with lively and happy colors, such as blue and gold. The inspiration for Tropicalism emerges from nature, with Brazilian colors and the counterposing of the modern with the primitive. The Romantic Woman fashion shows nature reacting to urbanization. Velvet appears in all its variations: smooth, print and flamê. Smooth velvet has a bright appearance and silky feel.
