Chemical fibres to be flag bearer of textile industry

Recently a meeting of the members of the China Chemical Fiber Association was held in Beijing. Vice-President of China Textile Industry Association, Xu Kun Yuan said at the meeting that the growth of China's textile industry will be based on chemical fiber industry in the next 10 to 20 years.
Therefore, he said, in the "12th Five-Year Plan", chemical fiber industry should focus on product development, innovation, technology application, and elimination of backward and obsolete capacity and the industry should achieve the goal through collaboration with downstream industries.
Chairman of China Chemical Fiber Association, Zheng Zhiyi said that the chemical fiber industry has entered a new rising cycle in 2010, judging by the operational rule of the chemical fiber industry for over 30 years and it should receive encouragement from the global economic recovery.
