Première Vision and Expofil will be held in Paris on 14 to 16 September 2010. 2011/2012 winter trends will be on show. 14 member companies of the Swiss Textile Federation will be displaying their product ranges at the trade fair.

With their wide choice of products, the Swiss Textile Federation member companies are among the most popular suppliers at Première Vision and Expofil. Jakob Schlaepfer for example is showing an impressive new collection at Première Vision typified by less transparency, more understated patterns and a mix of different techniques. Compactly structured allovers resembling glitter furs are an all-new feature.

Bischoff Textil AG's collection embodies pixellated patterns in multicolour resolutions and designs in intensive shades of blue. The new articles are supplemented by patterns in snakeskin or crocodile skin, either printed or with multiple embroidery. Weisbrod-Zürrer AG has a new interpretation of its evergreens: brocades with metallic gloss, with faux-uni materials and graphic designs.

Other innovations include dégradés and ombrés, multicolor gloss effects, soft felts and velvety washed silk. Schoeller Textil AG is showing its new Inzectic finishing technology which protects the wearer against parasites such as ticks and mosquitoes. The material is harmless to the skin as the treatment is only applied to the outside of the fabric.

Camenzind+Co. AG is represented as a yarn and twist specialist at Expofil. The spinning mill supplies a wide range of high value yarns and twist materials in 100 per cent schappe silk (Bombyx Mori), 100 per cent tussah silk and blends of schappe silk and a range of natural fibres such as wool, cotton, cashmere, linen and baby camel etc. Camenzind + Co. AG has been marketing its own “Swiss Mountain Silk” product label since 2007.

All the products bearing this label meet the finest quality standards; they are “made in Switzerland” by climate-neutral techniques and certified compliant with Ökotex Standard 100 (Class 1 for babies). Hermann Bühler AG and Johann Müller AG are focussing on the following novelty at Expofil: SwissModal Rainbow yarn. Rainbow enables all mélange colour wishes to be met fast, easily and even in small quantities if required.

With Rainbow, a choice of colour variants can be made from a single yarn without having to define the colour already before weaving or knitting. Spoerry 1866 AG has succeeded in using 100% natural materials such as cotton and cashere and linen blends to make yarns which have a “cool to the touch” effect in knitwear and fabrics of the kind which is otherwise encountered only with synthetic yarns or achieved by using chemicals.
