AATCC will participate as an Industry Partner during Techtextil North America, which takes place March 28-30, 2006, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga.
Techtextil North America is the international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens. AATCC will present its products and services at booth #225.
Additionally, Dr. Fred Cook of the Georgia Institute of Technology and AATCC Board member will speak during the symposium session entitled, “Nanotechnology: Products and Application.” The title of Dr. Cook's presentation is, “Chemical Routes to Permanent Nanofinishes.”
Dr. Cook will also update the audience on the activities of the AATCC Materials Interest Group, which he chairs. The Association's Interest Groups are based on a commonality of professional interest, and the Materials group focuses on development of new and novel materials related to the fiber/fiber products industries, and the science and engineering used to create them.
“In 2006, the theme of Techtextil is 'Focusing on Innovation,' and this is an excellent forum for learning about high-performance textiles across all industry segments,” said John Y. Daniels, AATCC Executive Director. “We encourage all our individual and corporate members to attend and participate in the exhibition and symposia.”
