Hilo Hattie Fashion to benefit from CWSerenade & eOne
October 26, 2009 (USA)

MICROS-Retail, a division of MICROS Systems, Inc. and leading provider of retail technology for the specialty and general merchandise retail industry, is pleased to announce that Hilo Hattie Fashion Centers, Hawaiian retailer of island apparel and merchandise, recently selected MICROS-Retail CWSerenade Java Order Management and eOne Web Commerce eCommerce platform. The retailer has been operating on the MICROS-Retail integrated POS and merchandising system since May 31, 2009.

"Hilo Hattie has seen tremendous benefits from the other MICROS-Retail solutions we recently implemented. It makes sense to continue that success in our direct channel with MICROS-Retail's CWSerenade and eOne," stated Bruce Bonar, CIO at Hilo Hattie. "Both applications are rich in functionality and supported by a top-notch team of experts who understand eCommerce as a business. The applications are established, field-proven solutions."

While many tourists and Hawaiian residents shop in the physical stores, Hilo Hattie has enjoyed significant revenue growth from online sales. Bonar stated: "Our merchandise selection is extensive and of high quality. People shop online with us because they want a taste of paradise at home. The new solutions will enable us to offer them more options while they shop through suggestive selling. The AJAX shopping cart will make checkout fast and simple. On the back end, we'll have a more streamlined fulfillment process and reporting suite through CWSerenade."

"Bruce and the team at Hilo Hattie have a clear vision of where they want to go and how they plan to get there," stated John Gularson, Managing Director of MICROS-Retail. "We are delighted to partner with them as they transition to this new environment."

Hilo Hattie, known as The Store of Hawaii, offers the largest selection of Hawaiian fashions, gifts, souvenirs, t-shirts, gourmet foods and Island jewelry. Hilo Hattie, voted "Best Place for Hawaiian Fashions" by the island residents for the past seven years, is the world's largest manufacturer of Hawaiian and resort fashions with hundreds of exclusive prints and styles. Hilo Hattie operates seven stores on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Kona and Hilo.
