PrimaLoft, the world leader in performance insulations, and bluesign technologies will team up at the upcoming 2011 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market to educate brands and retailers about the benefits and positive effects of the bluesign standard environmental certification process.
One of the most renowned environmental certifications in the world, the bluesign standard evaluates each ingredient from raw materials and chemical components to natural resource consumption and the occupational health of the workplace environment.
PrimaLoft is the first and only branded insulation in the world to obtain bluesign system partner status. PrimaLoft's ONE, SPORT and ECO insulation products manufactured in China now carry the esteemed bluesign certification.
The bluesign standard signifies environmental awareness and corporate responsibility to end consumers, while cultivating a positive movement towards sustainability in the outdoor and ski (sport) industries.
PrimaLoft, and several of its brand partners including The North Face, Helly Hansen and Patagonia have embraced the bluesign standard and will be working to help foster awareness at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
In addition, Peter Waeber, CEO for bluesign technologies will host an informative presentation at the PrimaLoft booth (#39043) on Day One of ORSM. An expert on environmental and sustainability issues, Waeber will educate retailers about the impact and importance of the bluesign standard on the retail industry. The event will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4.
