Diolen invests in technology & capacity expansion

Arnhem based Diolen Industrial Fibers is once again investing in modernizing the machinery and expanding the capacity of its production facility in Emmen (The Netherlands).
After earlier investments in three so-called Fosty machines in 2003 and 2004, Fosty 4 was recently started up successfully and the Board of Management has earlier this month approved investment in Fosty 5.
Jan Michiels, CEO Diolen Industrial Fibers said, “The market is reacting positively to one-step yarn and sees it as a signal that are working very hard on enhancing position in the market”
These investments put Diolen Industrial Fibers in an even better position to offer its customers consistently high quality at a competitive price. This latest technology is in fact based on a one-step process, whereas production was formerly a two-step process.
These investments expand the capacity of Diolen Industrial Fibers' production plant in Emmen by 5000 tons of high-quality polyester yarn. Emmen produces 40,000 tons of yarn annually. Fosty 5 is expected to contribute to production from June 2006.
Diolen Industrial Fibers focuses on consolidation and strengthening its existing core business and seeks to establish supply chain solutions and strategic alliances throughout the value chain the Company serves.
Diolen Industrial Fibers concentrates on providing optimized yarn types produced close to the customers' site, on implementing cost efficient technology, and on product innovations that create added value for customers.
