Century Textiles & Industries posts loss in Q2

Century Textiles & Industries Ltd, manufacturer of yarn, denim, viscose filament rayon yarn, etc, has reported a loss of Rs. 321.6 million during the second quarter of current fiscal year which ended on September 30, 2011.
During the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, the company had registered a net profit of Rs. 660.5 million.
The total income of the Mumbai-based company during the July-September quarter stood at Rs. 10.989 billion compared to the income of Rs. 11.105 billion it posted during the same period in 2010.
Established in 1897, Century Textile & Industries has a global presence in several countries including Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, UAE, UK and USA, among others.
