Bombay Dyeing Q2 net loss increases

Bombay Dyeing, the Mumbai-based home furnishing manufacturer, has posted a net loss of Rs. 339.3 million during the second quarter of the current fiscal year that ended on September 30.

The net loss has increased in comparison to the net loss of Rs. 306.2 million registered during the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.

However, the income from operations and net sales of the company has grown to Rs. 4.926 billion during July-September period, as against the net sales of Rs. 4.093 billion recorded during the same period in 2010-11, a rise of about 20 percent.

Established by Nowrosjee Wadia in 1879 as a small operation of Indian spun cotton yarn dip dyed by hand, Bombay Dyeing has now grown to be one of the most respected and trusted brands with presence at more than 350 exclusive Bombay Dyeing Retail and over 2000 multi-brand stores across the country.
