Stäubli delivers 100th DELTA drawing-in machine in China

Luthai is a globally renowned, vertically integrated manufacturer of high-quality yarn-dyed fabrics and shirting materials. Millions of shirts are produced every year and supplied through global and well-known retailers representing leading brands. Luthai employ leading-edge technology across the board and are trendsetters in process optimization within their manufacturing companies.

They have come to appreciate the benefits of automatic drawing in, thus guaranteeing a fully automated warp-preparation throughput system in their plants. Productivity in their warp preparation department has been increased drastically, labour cost reduced, quality of warp beams perfected and flexibility in preparation optimized. Furthermore, weaving efficiency has substantially increased through the use of drawing-in machines.

The recent delivery to Luthai marks the supply of the 100th DELTA 100/110 drawing-in machine to China. Soon there will be over 40 Delta drawing-in machine in use in its operations. During a celebration in March 2012, a token of appreciation in the form of a Swiss cow bell was presented to the management of Luthai by Stäubli personnel from Sargans, Switzerland.

Labour cost developments as well as the need for utmost flexibility, process automation and productivity aspects are key reasons for Chinese weavers to invest in automatic drawing-in machines.
