Braskem buys propylene assets of Marcus Hook refinery

Braskem will process propylene through the splitter assets for use in its adjacent polypropylene plant. This acquisition represents an important step in fortifying our Marcus Hook facility for the foreseeable future and solidifying Braskem's continued commitment to the North American petrochemical market.

Braskem is the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas. With 35 industrial plants in Brazil, the United States and Germany, Braskem has the capacity to produce over 17 million tons of thermoplastic resins and other petrochemical products per year.
