Erdos Group's cashmere plant to go operational by 2013-end

China-based Erdos Group, which deals in production and trading of “Erdos” brand cashmere products, has announced that its new industrial park being constructed on 500,000 sq m of area is expected to become operational by the end of next year.

The construction work for building and other infrastructure for modern cashmere industrial park is likely to be completed next year. After installation of necessary equipments, the industrial park would commence operations by the end of 2013.

The new project, being set up with a total investment of 2.461 billion yuan, will become the core processing park in Erdos Cashmere Group. It will also become the world's largest garden-like modern textile industrial park with first-class equipment, energy saving and environmental protection technology.

The new plant would have processing capacity of 1500 tons/year of wash cashmere, 1000 tons/year of carding wool, 1100 tons/year of spinning capacity, 1800 tons/year of dyeing capacity, 4.5 million pieces/year of processing capacity of cashmere sweaters, 1 million meters/year of worsted wool fabric, and 4 million pieces/year of scarves and shawls.

Once the new plant becomes operational, it will have a whole chain of production and processing system, including raw material washing, carding, spinning, dyeing, as well as manufacturing of cashmere sweaters, fine woolen fabrics, scarves, shawls and other clothing items.
