Elmec Sport signs five-year license pact with Women'secret

Greek clothing and sporting goods company Elmec Sport SA has signed an agreement with Spanish fashion company Cortefiel, which grants Elmec Sport the exclusive right to import and distribute in Greece the underwear and accessories bearing the trademark 'Women'secret'.
The duration of this agreement is five years with Elmec Sport having the right to extend it for three more years.
Elmec Sport's retail stores network will distribute these products, with the company planning to open ten retail stores within the next five years, which will sell exclusively Women'secret products.
The collection Women'secret, as implied, is a specialist in women. The products involve mainly women's underwear, lingerie, casual clothes and accessories and kids' products. Today, more than 300 stores are operating worldwide and 1,293 people are employed under the trademark Women'secret. The turnover of the brand reached the amount of €133 million during the fiscal year 2004.
Elmec Sport SA also announces a Sales and Lease back agreement with EFG Eurobank Leasing, for its warehouses in Koropi, which cover a total area of 12.000 sq. meters.
The company collected €12,294,455; the annual fee for the fiscal year 2006 will reach the amount of €1,045,768 approx. The duration of the agreement is 15 years, at the end of which Elmec Sport will repurchase the building.
The Fais family founded Elmec Sport SA in 1981, in order to undertake the distribution of NIKE, which was represented in Greece by another company of the group, Elmec Ino Fais SA.
Presently, Elmec Sport is the exclusive distributor of NIKE apparel and shoes in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Elmec Sport shows a substantial activity in other lifestyle fields too, such as motorcycles (representing the legendary American company Harley-Davidson) and fitness (distributing the leading Italian company Technogym).
