Barker's MD as Chairman of TSA's Retail Executive Board

Dry Cleaning and laundry specialists Barker Group informed that Matthew Barker, Managing Director, becomes Chairman of the retail executive board of the Textile Services Association (TSA) In March.
Barker was appointed by TSA co-members, and will hold the post for three years during which he will work to develop excellence in the industry.
TSA is a UK based trade association for the Laundry, Cleaning and Textile Rental Industry.
Matthew Barker says, "Being appointed as Chairman is a great honour, and a reflection of Barker Group's dedication to working with others in the industry to ensure continual improvements within the industry."
"As Chairman of the Retail Executive Board I will encourage the continued development of the professional dry cleaning industry, and work to generate increased awareness of industry-related issues."
As Chairman Matthew will oversee the development of the industry UK-wide, and strive to deliver improved services to TSA members. This will involve liaison with the Government regarding legislative issues and work to strengthen the industry's current code of practice with the Office of Fair Trading.
The Barker Group is a progressive laundry and dry cleaning Company, with seven retail outlets including two commercial processing centres across the south. Matthew Barker is also the UK's Vice President of the International Dry Cleaning Congress (IDC), and regularly represents the UK's laundry and dry cleaning industry.
Barker Laundry is one of only a handful of laundries in the UK dedicated to the provision of a weekly fully finished laundry service to the general public.
TSA commitment to education and training and improving our members businesses and their competitiveness means that we also run a series of cost effective training courses and seminars.
