Beneficial schemes to help handicraft artisans

Jammu & Kashmir Handicrafts Department has introduced schemes for the benefit of local artisans, informed the officials.

The schemes have been introduced by Marketing and Service Extension of the department under the guidance of Deputy Director Shaheen and Assistant Director Hamdani.

Under these schemes, artisans would be given marketing and financial aid.

Department also registers names of artisans and gives them Identification cards.

Recently 25 artisans were sent to New Delhi to market their creations at Delhi Hatt, and 1500 ID cards have been issued.
