Ambika Cotton Mills expansion

Emkay Research reported that Ambika Cotton Mills plans to increase its current installed base of 56000 spindles to 66000 by the end of first quarter of 2007 and expand it to 110000 by the end of same yaer.
This expansion will take place in the compact spinning technology, increasing spindles on compact spinning technology from 21,000 at beginning of 2006 to 85,000 by end of 2007.
Company also plans to raise its wind mills capacity from 13 MW to 25 MW over the next 12 months. Increase in demand for quality yarns and limited players in this space augur well for the future prospects.
The company is a major player in the cotton yarn segment, stressing on high quality compact spun yarns and manufactures high quality cotton yarn, compact and elite twist and has established its name in the international market as well as domestic markets.
