Valdese & Mancini to produce decorative textiles collection

A long-term agreement inked between Valdese and Wesley Mancini Ltd, scheduled to begin July 1, 2006, will see Wesley Mancini developing decorative textiles collection for Valdese Weavers.

The enterprise known as Wesley Mancini Home Fabrics Collection, will be merchandised, marketed and manufactured by Valdese.

The collection will target existing distribution channels of Valdese in addition to our current in-house design effort, stated Mike Shelton, Valdese President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

To create individuality of product lines as they get developed, Wesley will be working directly with Laura Levinson, Valdese Senior Vice-President, Product Development and Design, he added.

Mancini plans to create upper end looks in designs which will be dramatic designs scale on velvets, embroideries and jacquards on a large.

Mancini emphasized that the Home collection will be his last line as he has been designing Home lines for nearly a quarter century.

Shelton said, Wesley will help us to supply market with new and different product.
