Zimmer AG to build largest polyester staple fiber plant

Leading engineering, procurement and construction company Zimmer AG, a company of the mg technologies ag group, successfully commissioned a polyester staple fiber plant in China after a short time in reaching all guarantees.
Customer of this plant with a total investment value of around 30 million Euro is the Fujian Jinlun Petrochemical Fiber Industry Co. Ltd., one of the biggest companies in the Chinese staple fiber manufacturing industry.
The plant, located in the Binhai Industry Zone Changle, Fujian Province, is designed for a production capacity of 400 tons/day staple fibers in two lines using Zimmer's latest spinning and staple fiber production technol-ogy. Each staple fiber production line designed by Fleissner GmbH, an affiliate of Zimmer AG, has been equipped with the world's largest crim-per for an economical and high-quality production.
The Frankfurt based engineering and construction company provided the technology, engineering and key equipment and was responsible for the supervision of erection and start-up of the plant.

As part of the mg engineering subgroup of mg technologies ag, Zimmer designs, supplies and builds turnkey plants or plant units for the production of polymers and synthetic fibers (polyester, polyamides, polyacrylonitrile, cellulose) incincluding the complete offsites for utility supply. Projects performed by the company may be worth as much as Euro 500 million.
