Mitsui Chemicals plans to restart naphtha cracker

Japan-based Mitsui Chemicals is planning to restart a naphtha cracker over the next few days.
 
“The naphtha cracker located in Chiba is likely to be restarted on September 15, 2014,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
 
“The cracker was shut on September 3 due to some technical issues,” the official further informed.
 
The Chiba-based naphtha cracker has an annual capacity to produce 600,000 tons of ethylene and 331,000 tons of propylene.
