Dixie Group retains ex-COO of Burtco to assist integration

Floor coverings producer and marketer and NASDAQ-listed - The Dixie Group, Inc has reappointed former President and COO of Burtco Enterprises - Robert Kokoszka to assist Dixie in the integration process of the recently acquired Burtco Enterprises, Inc.

The Dixie Group had recently bought all the assets of Burtco Enterprises, a manufacturer of Tapistron Computer Yarn Placement (CYP) soft carpets that serves the hospitality market place.

Robert Kokoszka who retired from Burtco in 2012, pioneered the utilization of computerized yarn placement technologies for manufacturing patterned soft-surface floor coverings.

Dixie Group had said it will retain all the employees of Burtco Enterprises and will continue to operate its tufting facility in Chickamauga, Georgia.

The operations continue to be led by Elizabeth Moore, who was the CEO of Burtco Enterprises, before the takeover.

Dixie markets carpet and rugs to higher-end residential and commercial customers through the Fabrica International, Masland Carpets, Dixie Home, Masland Contract and Avant brands. (AR)
