Indus Fila acquires Sai Lakshmi's fabric division

Apparel manufacturing firm Indus Fila Limited has taken over fabric division of Sai Lakshmi Industries Private Limited.

Whitefield-Hoskote Road, Bangalore based Sai Lakshmi, manufacturer of textile and apparel products carried this sale earning Rs 90 crores in the deal.

Indus Fila acquired total assets, including 63.29 acres of land, 4,70,000 square feet building, state-of-the-art plant and machinery along with required utilities, current assets and liabilities in Mysore.

Sai Lakshmi Fabric Unit is a fully integrated weaving, processing and finishing unit with a capacity of 50,000 metres per day.

Indus Fila Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Nitin Mandhana said that the goal of acquisition is to double up fabric unit capacity by 1,00,000 metres per day.

Sai Lakshmi's fabric division acquisition will add about Rs 120 crore to Indus Fila's turnover.

Further developement will envisage company bottom line proping up with backward integration for its shirting, dyeing and finishing units.

Bangalore based Indus Fila Limited is engaged in fabric weaving and apparel manufacturing business.

Sai Lakshmi Group, India, is part of the Sainath group of companies, Indonesia.

The group is an extension of the garment manufacturing and export business that the Sainath group is extensively involved in.
