Suryajyoti to strengthen cotton fiber capacity

Suryajyoti Spinning Mills Limited has started development and innovation of its cotton yarn manufacturing capability, investing around Rs100 crore that will include 32256 spindles.

Company expects to grow its presence in some key sectors of the foreign country market once the project is fulfilled by the second half of 2006-07.

Between the two units located at Makthal and Burgul in the Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, at present, the firm functions with 55360 spindles.

The total spindlage of the Makthal unit will grow to 29232 from 22172 escorting to better production of cotton yarn.

By means of this growth, the company will add 25200 spindles by setting its third new unit at Rajapur (Mahabubnagar).

A K Agarwal, Executive Director, Suryajyoti Spinning Mills, told the media that after the completion of the expansion initiatives, the total capacity of the firm will rise to over 87616 spindles.

He also suggested the possibility of setting up a garment manufacturing unit.

In addition, it campaigns to launch a unit near Hyderabad to produce bottom weight fabrics.

The products are exported principally to Korea, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Italy.

Suryajyoti Spinning Mills Ltd is equipped with all modern spinning machinaries with autolevellers in carding and in high speed Draw Frames besides Autochute feed systems at Blowroom stage which produces high quality of yarn.
