Kirkland's adjoin Gabriel Gomez to Board of Directors

Kirkland's Inc announced that Gabriel Gomez was elected to the Board of Directors at the Company's recent annual meeting of shareholders. The Company also announced that R. Wilson Orr III, Chairman of the Board, and Steven J. Collins were re-elected to the Board of Directors at the same meeting.
Gomez is a Principal with Advent International. Prior to joining Advent, Gomez was with Summit Partners in its buyout group and an investment banking associate at Bowles Hollowell Conner in its Aerospace & Defense Group. Gomez also served for eight years in the U.S. Navy as both an aircraft carrier pilot and Navy SEAL commander. He currently serves on the boards of Americus Dental Labs, American Radiology Services and Syventive Molding Solutions.
Robert E. Alderson, Kirkland's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Gabriel possesses a diverse background and experience in a broad range of industries. He is a strong addition to our Board, and we look forward to his contributions and insight as we continue to execute our off-mall and new merchandise strategies."
Kirkland's Inc was founded in 1966 and is a leading specialty retailer of home décor in the United States. Although originally focused in the Southeast, the Company has grown beyond that region and currently operates 340 stores in 37 states.
