GSML enjoys pride place in Indian textile

Garden Vareli Group at its flagship company Garden Silk Mills Ltd (GSML) manufactures artificial silk, cotton fabrics and texturised yarn.
In a joint venture with US based Chemtex, the Indian company has set up a polymerisation polyester unit at Surat with 600-ton per day continuous (tpd) capacity.
This unit satisfies needs of polymer chips (270 tpd) of GSML for manufacturing polyester-oriented yarn (POY).
Company is also enhancing its capacity of POY from 200 tpd to 345 tpd. It has also invested Rs20.7 crore to set up a 6.6-megawatt power plant run by natural gas.
