Foamex to expand new comfort material at ISPA 2006

Foamex International, a leader in specialty foams, is introducing a revolutionary new comfort material at ISPA 2006. This new product, called Energia, combines high resilience with the shape-conforming properties of memory foam to create a totally unique product for the bedding industry.
"Our goal with Energia is to expand the feel options we provide to ours customers. We recognized the need for technology-based functional alternatives that support our customers' strategies to grow in the high-end segment," says Andrew Thompson, Executive Vice President of Foam and Technical Products. "For the mattress manufacturer, Energia provides a wide array of new options to create products with great consumer appeal."
Designed for premium sleep systems, Energia offers
- Substantially higher pressure dissipation than inner spring mattresses, particularly at key pressure points like the shoulder blades and hips;
- Superior comfort properties;
- Enhanced flexibility for use as comfort material in mattresses;
- Long lasting durability; and
- A 10 year limited warranty.
Energia is manufactured using VPF (Variable Pressure Foaming) technology. This unique foam production process uses an enclosed chamber to hold atmospheric conditions virtually constant and to capture process emissions. The result is a unique class of high performing, more consistent products that make bedding products more luxurious and longer-lasting than standard foams,fiberfills and other competitive foam products.
