Sealy's new PA plant to make latex foam for bedding

Sealy Corporation announced several new initiatives to capitalize on the growth of the specialty bedding market, the industry's fastest growing segment.
Sealy's New Specialty Initiatives - New Latex Manufacturing Facility-Sealy is building a new facility in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania (PA) that will manufacture latex foam for use across its product lines. Production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2007.
- SpringFree II by Sealy Posturepedic-SpringFree II is a new latex mattress collection offering consumers the benefits of latex with a wider range of comfort options. SpringFree II features the same 100 percent latex core in original SpringFree and is made with more comfort materials and enhanced aesthetics.
- TrueForm Pillowtop by Sealy Posturepedic-Sealy introduces a TrueForm pillowtop model at the high-end of its memory foam collection. The pillowtop provides a soft, luxurious feel, and is made of multi-layered memory foam with a cashmere blend cover. The suggested retail price is $2,999 (Queen set).
- RightTouch by Sealy Posturepedic-Sealy's new adjustable comfort product will be available in select test markets beginning in July. RightTouch features two independent air chambers that allow consumers to adjust the firmness of each side of the mattress to meet individual comfort needs and preferences.
- Stearns & Foster Latex Collection-Tropical Oasis is a new luxury collection featuring a 100 percent latex core topped with signature Stearns & Foster appointments, such as luxurious fabrics and hand-painted metal corner guards.
