Robert M. Slotnick Foundation declares 2006 Scholarship Winners

The Trustees of The Robert M. Slotnick Memorial Foundation have announced the 2006 Scholarship winners.
Each year, six scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, are awarded to students, who are dependents of employees of Rowe Furniture, who have either graduated from high school and plan to enter their first year of post-secondary education or who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution and are continuing their studies towards a degree.
The Robert M. Slotnick Memorial Foundation was established in November 1988, and the first scholarships awarded in 1989, to honor the career and memory of Robert Slotnick who was a sales executive and Vice President with Rowe Furniture for over 25 years.
The students may be enrolled in any field of study. The students selected as the 2006 Scholarship recipients are:
STATE OF VIRGINIA: Mr. Robert J. Lutz Robert will enter his first year at Virginia Western in Roanoke pursuing his goal of a degree in Computer Science. Robert graduated from Eastern Montgomery High School in Elliston, VA where his parents still reside.
Miss. Kelli C. Ogilvie Kelli will begin her second year at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia pursuing her degree in International Affairs/Relations. Kelli graduated from Salem High School in Salem, VA where her parents still reside.
Mr. Purvin N. Patel Purvin will begin his third year at George Mason University's School of Law pursuing his goal of becoming a lawyer. Purvin graduated from Glenvar High School in Salem, VA where his parents still reside.
