TCS Textiles faces more floor demolition

Division Bench of the Madras High court has directed authorities to raze four floors of another building belonging to the group of the TCS Textiles Private Limited "without any further delay."
Earlier, the First Bench of the Madras High Court had ordered the demolition of three floors of the TCS Textiles Private Limited building on Usman Road.
Two review applications filed by TCS Textiles were dismissed by the Bench comprising Justices M Karpagavinayagam and A C Arumugaperumal Adityan.
The present Bench dismissed the review application on the grounds that the regularization scheme was introduced in September 2000 and subsequent change in law would not render void an order already passed in judicial proceedings.
About another order of the First Bench dated August 23, 2006, the Judges said since the regularization scheme itself had been declared unlawful, nothing survived in the present petition.
