The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, announced today it will donate 5 percent of sales of three newly designed gift cards to the Company's nonprofit partners: The Home Depot Foundation, KaBOOM! and Hands On Network.
Beginning today consumers may choose from these uniquely themed gift cards and purchase amounts in any denomination at The Home Depot stores nationwide through November 6.
"Matching gift card sales will not only raise awareness for these terrific nonprofit partners, but will assist in building stronger communities where our 355,000 plus associates live and work," said Brad Shaw, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and External Affairs, The Home Depot.
"Whether it's planting trees, building playgrounds or partnering with a strong volunteer base to help disaster stricken communities, we look forward to this unique proposition of allowing our customers to choose what matters most."
Each organization will have its own gift card with unique graphics and an individual gift card holder. The Home Depot's donation to these specific charities will reach up to $1 million dollars over the three-week program.
