Shanghai Textile Group gets revamped

Shanghai Textile Group, worth over RMB30 billion, is in the mode of progress. The biggest textile group in China, has started cutting its number of employees from 550,000 to less than 100,000.
Shanghai Textile Group's approach is to compete in science fashion trade considering its textile lead.
At present, 2 fashion industrial regions have been established. One is "Shangjie" which focuses on fashionable dress designs with an area of 40,000 square meters.
Another is known as "Xian" that focuses fashionable media on an area of over 18,000 square meters.
Shanghai Textile Group is a huge state-owned unit performing several reform tactics in several spheres.
