CBL & Associates expands fashion department store in Fort Myers

The Richard E. Jacobs Group of Cleveland, Ohio and joint venture partner CBL & Associates Properties, Inc of Chattanooga, Tenn., welcome JCPenney and Belk fashion department store to Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers, Fla.
JCPenney and Belk join Best Buy, which celebrated their grand opening in August, in Phase II of the development. Other department stores and specialty retailers will open this fall through the spring of 2007.

One of America's largest department store, catalog, and e-commerce retailers, JCPenney offers a host of merchandise including apparel and accessories, home accents, furniture, house wares and toys. Belk is the nation's largest privately owned department store company and features a wide selection of cosmetics; fashion apparel; shoes and accessories for men, women and children; home furnishings; gifts; and many other types of quality merchandise.
Upon completion, the 1.7 million square-foot Gulf Coast Town Center will feature 15 anchors, two hotels and approximately 120 specialty shops and restaurants. The open-air development hasthree phases. Currently open in Phase I are Babies “R” Us, JoAnn Fabrics, Linen's 'N Things, Petco, Staples, SuperTarget, Kirklands and a 16-screen Regal Cinema.
