BSL wins SRTEPC Best Performance award & JV with French Co

The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), a Government of India- sponsored organization awarded Banswara Syntex Ltd (BSL) a Gold Trophy for Best Export Performance in the category of Man-made (MM) Blended Fabrics. BSL has been winning this award for the last five consecutive years.
BSL, a vertically integrated textile company, also received an export order worth Rs. 15 crore from Carreman Michel Thierry of France. The order is for the supply of high- end valued fabric & yarn; the same is to be executed by Q4 FY07.
BSL also has a 50:50 Joint Venture with Carreman Michel Thierry; the same is operational out of Banswara, Rajasthan and is called Carreman Fabrics Ltd. The JV is slated to produce and export 40 lakh metres of high-value Lycra-based fabric for the international designer markets.
Mr. R L Toshniwal, Chairman, BSL commented on both developments, “Going forward, we expect higher export growth in fabric & garment segment.”
