Betesh buys out infant bedding maker Bananafish

Global consumer products innovator The Betesh Group is pleased to announce its recent acquisition of Bananafish – a leading manufacturer of better infant bedding and nursery decor.
Since its founding over 10 years ago, Bananafish has become a top manufacturer of crib bedding in the specialty market. Celebrated for its signature use of modern and sophisticated color and patterns, Bananafish brings together fashion, comfort, luxury and quality.
The merging of Bananafish's great design resources and The Betesh Group's outstanding manufacturing and operations will establish a powerful infrastructure at Bananafish. Founder of Bananafish Risa Popkin who will remain with the company said, “The Betesh Group brings an endless number of global resources and possibilities to Bananafish. The acquisition will help create an even broader selection of great bedding and expanded line of coordinating décor for babies everywhere and propel Bananafish to another level.”
Said Jonathan Breiter, Executive Vice President of The Betesh Group, “We are very excited about welcoming Bananafish into The Betesh Group family of companies. A significant part of our future growth will come through acquisition. We are looking for companies that complement our core competencies. We are very aggressive in our search for businesses that manufacture and market innovative products for infants and toddlers.”
The new collection of Bananafish bedding and décor will be introduced in May 2007 at JPMA in Orlando, Florida.
