VISCOCEL forecasts new big jump of viscose staple fibre prices

VISCOCEL, Spanish producer of Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF), is happy to announce that we have seen our stocks reduced in over 40% during the month of January, driven them to historic low levels.
This is not the result of a major sales pressure, but the effect of the high market demand and acceptance of pricing increase. This increase of price is helping to support the increasing manufacturing cost due to the increase in the price of cellulose Dissolving Pulp, main raw material in the manufacturing of this fibre that increased its price more than 25% in the last year.
Company is forecasting a new big jump of Viscose Staple Fibre and Dissolving Pulp prices all over the world, as a result of by a big demand in every market during quarter two of 2007. It is good for us to see that the market is very strong when we will be launching our New Chlorine Free products very soon to all our customers.

Two of those forces are our Viscose Staple Fiber (VSF) and Cellulose companies: Viscocel and Celltech. The latter generates enough cellulose to both sell directly to our clients and feed Viscocel with the raw material needed to produce the VSF.
